How can I receive salvation in Jesus Christ?
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”(that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Salvation is a free gift. Prayer this prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your plan of salvation. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and that He was raised from the dead and now sits at the right of God the Father. I ask that you forgive me for my sins and I ask you to be Lord over my life. In Jesus Name. Amen!
How can I study the bible?
The bible can be studied in many ways. I have found that reading the bible everyday helps. There are many study bibles you can buy as well. I use a bible that has a outline of the book I am reading along with cross references and commentaries about the bible verses. I use all of these tools to help me gain better understanding.
Another method is using the SOAP method.
S is for Scripture - Read a daily scripture
O is for Observation - What did I observe about this scripture
A is for Application - How can I apply this to my life
P is for Prayer - Turn scripture into a prayer for your life that day.
